Healthier Place, Healthier Future

What is Healthier Place, Healthier Future?

Healthier Place, Healthier Future is an opportunity to improve the health and wellbeing of our Pennine Lancashire communities. The HPHF team are working across and within districts to collaboratively improve the food environment and make it easier for people to lead healthier lives. Taking both a top-down and bottom-up approach, Healthier Place, Healthier Future is working with system leaders to inspire action, with food businesses to encourage healthier options, with planning to support a healthier place, and with the community to make sure what we are doing meets the needs of our Pennine Lancashire residents. You can find out more about the Pennine Lancashire trailblazer on the Food Active website and the nationwide Government's Childhood Obesity Trailblazer projects here.
